SHRI PRAKASH CHAND GOSSAI Ji is remembered and honored as a great man whose life of excellence and service has indeed set a gold standard for the world to follow.  To build on this great legacy of excellence and service, the SHRI PRAKASH SEVA FOUNDATION (SPSF) is incorporated.  The vision of SPSF is to use the life and works of Guru Ji Shri Prakash Gossai Ji as an example of the inherent greatness in man in order to present and inspire a higher vision for the benefit of all mankind, especially our youths.

Three virtues that define Shri Prakash Gossai Ji’s accomplishments are INTELLECTUAL VIGOR, FORTITUDE and SACRIFICE.  From childhood to adulthood Prakash Ji’s INTELLECTUAL VIGOR in both spiritual and academic studies was outstanding.  The conscious choice to apply Intellectual vigor in his academic pursuits was made in his EARLY Elementary school years.  While this early decision won him many firsts in academic performance from Elementary to University, he is best remembered and loved as one of the earliest pioneers of Hinduism in the USA. FORTITUDE is a necessary ingredient for success.  Prakash Ji never took his eyes off the goal.  He burnt the midnight oil as he worked diligently to accomplish his academic and spiritual goals.  Shri Prakash Gossai Ji, through his SELFLESS SACRIFICE, left this world a much better place in all the lives that he continues to touch and inspire, even after his passing.

Upon the passing of his father, Shri Prakash Goassai Ji, in 2009, Acharya Arun Gossai, felt a pressing inner call and previous recommendation from his father, to study the Eastern Philosophy known as Vedanta. Vedanta is defined as the science of the Higher Self.  Inspired by the philosophical teachings offered by Chinmaya Mission, that same year, he joined the Mission's two-year residential Vedanta Course in India at the Sandeepany Sadhanalaya Ashram in Powai, Mumbai. Under the tutelage of Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayananda, and resident course Acharyas, Swami Advayananda and Swami Sharadananda, Acharya Arun Ji studied Vedanta through various scriptures, including the Upanishads, Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, Shrimad Bhagavatam, and Ramacharitamanasa.

Since his graduation in 2014, Acharya Arun Ji has been working closely with individuals from all walks of life as he aims to impart in them a thorough understanding of thy self, the world, and how to maintain a clear, focused and peaceful mind.  On May 14th 2023, in view of his tireless dedication and leadership of younger generations, Acharya Arun Ji was bestowed the honoured title of "Dharma Samvardhak" by the grace of His Holiness SadGurudev Swami Shri Gopal Sharan DevAcharya Ji Maharaj, Founder Acharya of Shri Golok Dham Ashram, Vrindavan & New Delhi, India.

It has always been Acharya Arun Ji’s intention to carry on his father’s vision of creating a world of peaceful leaders, capable of making good decision for their respective societies. It is with this in mind that the SHRI PRAKASH SEVA FOUNDATION was formed, for the purpose of establishing the SHRI PRAKASH SCHOLASTIC ACADEMY for EXCELLENCE, the SHRI PRAKASH DAY CARE & NURSERY SCHOOL and the SHRI PRAKASH RETREAT CENTER & ASHRAM. Let us all continue to strive for excellence and a peaceful world continuing the vision of SHRI PRAKASH GOSSAI.  The importance of spiritual life interwoven with material pursuits has slipped to the bottom of the priority list.  Hence, Spiritual revival should be made a priority for a balanced life.  SPSF’s vision is to create a fertile and spiritually charged environment where youths are nurtured into intelligent, happy and successful adults who will live more meaningful, beautiful and happier lives.  And not to leave out adults, SPSF aims to foster spiritual enrichment programs for adults through its retreat center.

The greatness of our lives is measured by what we have done with our lives.  How is the world a better place because of my contribution?  The SHRI PRAKASH SEVA FOUNDATION is designed to offer all of us a unique opportunity to work together to build a peaceful and happier world so that we can leave this beautiful world better than we found it for future generations.
